Anointing Mass

The Kapahaka group, choir and violin group all performed for parishioners after the Anointing Mass this morning. It was great to see them sharing their talents with the community. After morning tea, Mrs James and Rimu also entertained. Thanks to Mrs Cullen- Reid, Mr Brownbrooke, Miss Sutherland and Mrs James for supporting all the children involved.

It's great to be back!

I'm really enjoying being back on board this term. I didn't realise how much I missed the obliging, caring children we have at St Patrick's. Today these wonderful children helped clean up the Resource room. I was most impressed - they even vacuumed!

Amazing masks

Mrs McRandle has excelled in getting the children in Rata to produce some extremely effective looking masks for the Celebration theme of the Cultural Festival. These will be displayed at the festival in August. Aren't we fortunate to have such a talented, hard working teacher!

Snow, snow and more snow!

It was great to be back at school on Friday after two "snow" days. I'm pleased to announce we had no injuries as children behaved very sensibly.

We love Choosing time!

There are lots of reasons that we love Fridays but in Rimu it's Choosing time. Today Rimu say Goodbye to Ginnethon who is off to Australia with his family. As a farewell, Ginnethon has given the children in Rimu a box of his toys. Thank you Ginnethon! Ginnethon's box is going to be well utilized!
We wish Ginnethon, Matthew and their family all the best in Australia.
