Swimming sports
Well done to all the enthusiastic swimmers at the swimming sports yesterday. The determination and perseverance displayed by the participants was fantastic to see and the parents/ Yr 8 students race was very entertaining- as always.

Thank you Mr Pettigrew for cleaning up our playground today. You are a man of many talents.

Welcome to the 2014 school year
It's great to have the all the children back and focussed on their work. Remember Meet the teacher tomorrow evening, February 12 at 6pm. We are starting the evening with a presentation from Sue Graham all about Mathematics and your child. A great presentation- full of lots of ways you can support your child's learning.

Our School Project
St Patrick’s school has now been registered in Our School Project, a daily trivia quiz that donates approximately 20 cents per day to the school, for every person who completes the quiz. We would appreciate your help in this fundraising venture so we can provide more learning resources for the children of St Patrick’s. Please share this with your work colleagues – a fun challenge to see who knows the most trivia.
By the time we have our next quiz night there will be a real competition!

Visiting a Space station.
I was fortunate to visit the Space station in Rata today. I was most impressed by the multitude of facts about space that the children in Rata shared with me too.

Sand Art
It was great to see a couple of children from Totara this week with their Sand Art depicting scenes from the Bible. A great effort Tessa and Jacob! I even managed to guess one of the Bible references.
